19 months today

Dearest Lil'Miss Mia,

At 19 months, you officially know your name, though you may not know how to pronounce it properly yet. I would point to myself and ask you who I am, you would say "Mammie", then I'd point to your daddy and you would say, "Daddy", then I would point to you and ask you who you are, you would say "Anya"...haha...we started contemplating maybe that too could be your nickname! hehe..Since you've learned how to say 'mummy', I hear it all the time now! Its one of your favourite words.

Last month, I bought you a Doodle Pad and I must say it does keep you occupied sometimes. When we first got it, I drew a round face with big beady eyes, a nose, a mouth, ears and spiky hair. Instantly you said "Granpa"! I found that to be too cute! It makes me quiet proud and thankful that you are becoming articulate with your words my love. The one time that made me proud as well as laugh like a hyenna, was when I was on the toilet, you walked in and saw me and said, "Eh Mummy change Pampers!". At least you know pampers and wee-weeing go together! haha.

Besides talking and babbling on, you also like to sing. Definitely a trait you have picked up from your daddy! I often catch you singing the last word of a verse, especially if it ends in O's or U's. Like the Tigger & Pooh theme song, which goes something like this..."My friend Tigger and Poooo~", So of course you would sing the "Ooooo" part. Pintar anak mummy!

As for knowing the parts of your body, we have increased it to a couple more. You now know where your Eyes, nose, mouth, ears, hair, hands, fingers, feet, tummy, tongue, teeth, ninin, bumbum and kikilala are! I love you when you are sitting alone and point to the parts yourself and say the words. You can say, Eyes, nosh, moush, ears, hair, hands, peet and bam bam...hahaha....Must teach you the other parts this month!

As for animals, you shocked me when we were out looking at books and you saw a picture of a turtle and said "Tutel"...I didn't know you had familiarized yourself with that particular amphibian! You also know and say "Ants" when you see these irritating insects on the floor...then you just step on them! hahaha...

Since your Nanny, who I assumed made you fresh bubur every morning, decided she thought she could feed you IndoMie for breakfast instead as its easier to make, you gained a little bit of weight. I was quite worried so I decided to first give your lazy nanny a telling off, then implemented the healthy lifestyle regime. You now have cereal for breakfast, specifically Honey Stars, which are your favourite. Because of this change, I have realized you like milk, just like your daddy! And anything in a carton with a straw, you will drink! Really, all I can say is that, you have a really healthy appetite!

A couple of weeks ago, you did me proud. I was watching television and you were on your knees sitting beside me with your hands scooped, then you flopped your whole body, faced-down onto the mattress, then you came back up onto your knees with scooped hands again. It took me a while to realize, you were actually imitating your Granpa doing his prayers! Pintar anak solehah mummy!

You are growing up too fast my love, macam orang basar sudah! I wonder what's in store for you this month..love you sweetums! xoxo
