20 Months old

Little Miss Mia basar sudah!

"The Sasat Tourist at 20 months today"

My Sweet little princess,

Another month has passed and you are a month older and closer to your second birthday. My oh my how time flies by. My cheeky little monkey, you have now progressed to using three words in a sentence. Sometimes they are all jumbled up, like recently I stopped by the corner shop and you said "Opok buy mummy" which I assume was, "Mummy buy keropok" but sometimes you'll say your words in perfect order, like when you were watching TV with Daddy, the channel went fuzzy due to the rain and you said "Daddy, what happened?" or when the time your nanny played hide & seek with you and you said "Mummy, where's auntie?" But my favorite was when we were suppose to go out, I went to my room to change and you couldn't find me so you shouted "Mummy, where are you?" heheehehe....Pintar anak mummy eh!

The first time you used three words in a sentence was the day after we had a small family function at Mami Sinah's house. The night was filled with good food and great company, as usual. Since all your 'big' kaka's were home from abroad, all their friends were in the house too. Many of them were musically talented and a few of them played a piece on the piano, as did your mami sinah and Grandpa too! The next day you were re-living the night with your Grandma and said "Kaka play piano"....Grandma was so proud of you!

You had your swimming lesson early this month, the only one this month as it has been raining alot lately. So in the pool, while splashing around you suddenly said, "Uh-oh, Poo-poo", and held your bum. I immediately freaked out and told you not to poop in the pool. Skalinya, I felt warm water...rupanya wee-wee. hehehee...must try and get you those swimming diapers!

I am happy that you are becoming more articulate my love. Mummy can now understand you more than before. Yet, I still think its ashame that I wasn't able to teach you baby sign language when you were younger. I know you can understand us as sometimes we ask you questions and you answer correctly. When asked "where's daddy?" you would reply "Home"....I've even heard you reply "Ball" if daddy is playing football and "Werk" if daddy is at work. When you see someone cry in person or on the TV, you would always say "why?". Another word you like is more of a command, "Watch" is normally the word you will use followed by you shoving a particular dvd in my face..haha. The other day you I asked you what you wanted to watch and you kept on saying "Empess, empess". It took me a while to realize you were actually telling me you wanted to watch one of your Barbie "Princess" cartoons. Recently at Baby Hapidz birthday, he was chewing on the sudocream top and apparently you were being the big sister and said, "Hapis, don't eat!" Belabih!

There was something you did a couple of weeks ago that cracked me up. Auntie Kyla was at the house watching TV with us and I suddenly smelt an unpleasant but familiar smell. You had pooped in your diapers, so I told you to change your pampers. While getting a fresh clean diaper, Auntie Kyla kept on saying, "Eeee...smelly poo poo eh, change pampers." You then did something that proves you are your father's daughter. You went over to Auntie Kyla, turn around, put your smelly bum in her direction then walked off. Penyaya banar! hahaha. Cheeky bum!

Another trait that you have, but have gotten from me is being a sensitive little human. How does mummy know you are sensitive? Well, earlier this month we were propped up in front of the TV, watching yet again The Heffalump movie, where Lumpy's character is introduced to the Pooh series. Anyhoo, there was this part where Lumpy wanted to go back to his mother after playing all day with Roo but couldn't find his mummy. So Lumpy was sooo upset as if he wanted to cry and kept on saying he wanted his mummy. Bear in mind, we have watched this a gazillion times so mummy assumed it would be like every other time we have watched this. Boy! was I wrong. Suddenly you started crying. I had thought that I accidentally squashed your arm or maybe you wanted Nenen and I kept saying no. But it wasn't that too. I asked you what's the matter. You then pointed to the TV, still crying, watching lumpy and said, "Lumpy, Mummy" and continued to cry. Awww...mummy pun ikut nangis. I had tears in my eyes seeing you cry. Kesian anak mummy. So Daddy and myself explained to you thats its only a movie and Lumpy will find his mummy later on. When Lumpy found his mummy and hugged her, you did the same to me...awww...paham pun if mummy nada. hehehehe. This was the highlight of your day, so the next day at Grandpa's house, thats all you could talk about. You told your grandpa about "Lumpy, mummy, cry"...hehehe..too too cute!

As for the parts of your body, we have now included shoulders, knees and toes....this is so you can sing along to the "Head, shoulders, knees and toes" song..hehehe...You also recognize a couple more animals now. I have made A4 size flash cards of animals and go through them with you once in a while. You name them all correctly and you know what they sound like. Must increase to different animals soon.

So my love, continue learning away. I love you munchkin! xoxo
