Stimulating

My Princess Mia

About a month ago, Baby Mia started sleeping from 9pm to 6am. It was such a great achievement for her, as well as me. I also bought the Baby Monitor around that time so now we have been sleeping in our own bed (instead of in the TV room). Since then, there have been odd days where she sleeps earlier, like around 8pm and sometimes even later like at 10pm and she also woken up in the middle of the night for a feed. But most of the time she sleeps right through to the morning. I've also realized that she loves playing with her hair when she feeds, as if she's feeling the texture. Maybe, because of that her hair is flattening down. I'm so going to miss her "standing-up" hair.

Mia & her Liza Minelli Look

Lately, since it seems she can see now, she just too excited and playful to take her morning and afternoon naps. Even at night, she just doesn't want to sleep. Mummy says its like there's not enough hours in a day for her and she just wants to learn and grow up faster. Noooo....but anyways, I think I should try to work out a schedule for her to follow for when the maid comes, if she ever does. When she is awake though, I've been trying my best to stimulate her. I've got a couple of toys which have red in them and some that have music. When I'm not at work I like to put her in her bouncing cradle chair which has three types of soft toys hanging from the top. The chair used to be good just for her to sit in, but now, since the toys are in her reach, I believe it somewhat teaches her hand and eye coordination. I love watching her scrutinize either me or my mum when she sees what we wear. I've seen her eye me up and down and give me a look of disapproval because my top was not exciting enough for her to look at. She is a little madame.

Another game I play with her when we have our little quality time together is the "I love you" game. I would draw a heart on her face starting with half a heart on her right side first while saying "I" and then the other half of the heart on her left side while saying "love" and tapping her nose while saying "youuuuu". The response I get from her is hilarious. She actually says "Aaaaaaaaaaaa" which sounds alot like I. So, I guess so far my baby daughter can say I love you, without the love-you part.

Baby Mia is growing up too fast! She went for her "Month 3" Portrait the other day and my oh my, there are afew changes :)
