Three Months Old Today

Three Months Old Today

Dearest Princess,

Happy birthday sweet angel. You are now three months old and my you have grown in size and weight. I have had to put away the first set of clothes you often wore during the first month you were born. They no longer fit you. But not to worry you have tons of clothes that are just waiting for you in the cupboard from your Grandad Chan in the UK and your Mama.

I'm not sure if you aware, but I like to think you were, your daddy went on a business trip last Thursday. The first time he has been away from you for so long. I could tell he just missed you to bits as he bought you a beautiful dress from Zara that will fit you during raya and a cool funky top that you'll only be able to wear when you turn one. Those nights without him were lonely ones. It was just you and me propped in front of the TV. I don't even think we went out. On Friday night, after spending the whole day at Auntie Inah's, we saw her again at Escapade. It was your cousin, Eliza's birthday. This time round you were a good girl since mummy now knows you don't like your routine disturbed, i.e. to be in bed by 8pm BUT if we are out, you like to be out in your sleep suit so you can fall asleep on the way home. So thats what mummy did. Changed you into your sleepsuit before going out. Mummy also brought the moses basket just in case but you did not look sleepy at all. Thank God Auntie Inah had a VIP room, so the noise was on a down low and you had the comfort of the air-conditioner, which seems to be a must for you. You have now been dubbed "Puteri Lilin". I guess yesterday was "Mummy Inah Day".

The following day, Saturday, was the day Daddy returned. Since he was coming back on the late-night flight, we decided to make flying visits to some people. First we sent the maid home then we went to Auntie Inah's since Mama called to tell mummy that she bought you some clothes. It was so sweet of her to do so. Your clothes were chosen by your mummy Inah so you are definitely going to look great when they can actually fit you. We then made our way to Auntie Alai's house in Berakas to pass her some necessities for when she gives birth to Baby Z. We spent a good half an hour with Auntie Alai and you spent a lil quality time with her. Our last stop was your Grandma's house. We just popped in to say hi to Nini boy before making our way home. You were asleep when we picked daddy up from the airport but I could tell he was glad to see you anyways, awake or asleep.

Last night was a shocker though. Daddy got into a car accident but luckily enough your daddy is a stunt man and was able to save himself from getting hurt. Mummy wouldn't know what to do if something ever happened to your daddy.

Anyhoo, as of today, mummy can proudly say you've master the art of your hands! You can now open and close them and nowadays they are more open than closed. You also like to grab onto things, like my hair. hehe....and your blanket. Maybe mummy should buy you that teddy bear that comes with a lil mini blankie. we'll see. You have also surprised me this week. Since the day after National day, you have slept right through and have not woken up for your really-early-morning feeds. You have your last feed between 8pm - 9pm, burb and then you are in Never never land for the whole night. You are such a good baby.

I love the sound of your laughter. I must remember to record it one of these days. I do two things to you that make you giggle like crazy. First mummy kisses you on one cheek then the next and you seem to like it but not as much as mummy's "Chomping" game. I'll pretend to chomp your hand and then you'll just start giggling. How I do love your giggles my love.

So, today is the 25th. Its time for your monthly portrait. We'll do that later okay love. For now, mummy has to pack up and pick u up. Mwuah!

Love u my munchkin
xoxo
